Our Opportunities
PAROLED - A Short Film
COMING SOON!
When people talk about incarceration, they rarely talk about what happens after the gate opens.
PAROLED follows Melissa — a woman released from prison after more than a decade — as she navigates fear, confusion, temptation, and survival in a world that has moved on without her.
This film is drawn directly from my real experience.
It captures the moments that are often invisible:
-
Being released with no plan
-
No ID, no phone, limited money
-
Strangers deciding whether to help or turn away
-
The emotional pull back toward survival behaviors
-
The quiet strength it takes to choose differently
This is not a story about crime.
This is a story about reentry, humanity, and healing.
