California Performing Arts AV is a Palmdale-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by Melissa Kaye Bontempt. We create opportunities for healing, connection, and creative growth through performing arts, independent film, and community programs. We welcome people of all ages, with a special commitment to at-risk youth, adults rebuilding their lives, and people returning home after incarceration.

Acting workshops, individual coaching, independent film, and community partnerships connect our mission to everyday creative practice. Artists can develop their craft, share their stories, and explore opportunities in front of and behind the camera. Join a program, ask about casting and crew opportunities, or partner with us to help more people find their voice through the arts.
